Replacement brake linings need ECE R90 approval; GPSR applies to consumer-sold parts (ASSUMPTION on per-part rules). India lost EU GSP preferences for 2026-2028 (Implementing Reg. (EU) 2025/1909), so MFN duty applies; the EU-India FTA concluded on 27 Jan 2026 is not yet in force.
United States & Canada
North America is India's largest auto-component market (ACMA); auto parts fall under Section 232 automobile/parts tariffs rather than the 10% Section 301 add-on - check the HTS line. Brake pads must meet copper-limit laws (LeafMark) (ASSUMPTION).
Gulf (GCC)
Spare-parts distributors in Dubai re-export across the region; Saudi Arabia requires SABER conformity for vehicle spare parts.
