Wooden furniture (9403) is in EUDR scope: EUDR applies from 30 Dec 2026 for large/medium operators (micro/small non-timber operators 30 Jun 2027); the Commission's May 2026 review confirmed no further postponement. The EU importer files a due-diligence statement with plot geolocation, so expect requests for timber/hide traceability back to origin.
United States & Canada
USA is the largest buyer of Jodhpur furniture. Lacey Act declaration required; composite-wood parts need TSCA Title VI (formaldehyde) compliance; clothing storage units must meet the CPSC stability rule (ASSUMPTION on applicability per item). US duty on Indian goods as of 22 Oct 2026 (per our compliance research, secondary legal analysis): MFN rate plus a 10% Section 301 tariff in force since 24 Jul 2026; Section 232 goods (steel, aluminium, copper, autos/parts) pay the 232 rate instead.
