Ferrous Castings is usually classified under HS 7325 (Other cast articles of iron or steel). Castings that are identifiable parts of machines are classified with the machine (e.g. 8413.91 pump parts, 8481.90 valve parts, 8708 auto parts). Manhole covers usually 7325.10.
Where is ferrous castings produced in India?
Main clusters: Jamshedpur / Raipur (sponge iron & re-rollers) / Jharsuguda / Vizag, Jharkhand; Chhattisgarh; Odisha; Andhra Pradesh; Karnataka; Gujarat; Bengaluru-Peenya (IMTMA hub) / Pune / Rajkot, Karnataka; Maharashtra; Gujarat; Punjab.
Which documents are needed to export ferrous castings?
Commercial invoice, Packing list, Bill of lading / airway bill, Certificate of origin (preferential where an FTA applies), Material test certificate (EN 10204 3.1), Dimensional report, ISPM-15 certificate. Destination-specific registrations are listed on each market page.
